BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, says Yasser Arafat's condition appears to have improved overnight.
Erekat says Arafat attended Muslim prayers before dawn on Thursday and is in a stable condition, China Radio International reported Thursday.
A team of doctors have not yet decided whether he needs to be transferred from his compound to a hospital.
Previously, Arafat's political adviser Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Arafat's condition was not life threatening.
In another development, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon telephoned Palestinian Prime Minister, Ahmed Qureia, on Thursday, to say that Israel will allow Arafat to receive treatment abroad if required. Enditem
