MADRID, Oct. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- US ambassador to Spain George Argyros confirmed Wednesday the US government will keep its collaboration with the Spanish military.

    "We'll continue the collaboration as this benefits us both," Argyros told a press conference at Algeciras port.

    He said a radioactive scanner, provided by the US government for free, will be installed at Algeciras port to search for hazardous materials like explosives.

    Another equipment for detecting nuclear material inside containers will arrive at the port very soon, he added.

    These devices will facilitate "safer trade" and help combat terrorism, Argyros said. Enditem
