RAMALLAH, Oct. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat'shealth was stable and a team of doctors were examining him in hiscompound in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Arafat's senior adviserNabil Abu Rudeina told reporters late Wednesday.
He denied the Israeli reports saying that Arafat collapsedearlier in the day and had lost consciousness for several hours."A team of Tunisian and Palestinian doctors is examining thepresident," Abu Rudeina said in a statement read out to journalistsin front of Arafat's headquarters.
Abu Rudeina said Arafat's condition was stable, adding thatArafat "needs more rest because of his fatigue".
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Jordan's King Abdullah IIhad offered to send doctors, he said. Enditem
