RAMALLAH, Oct. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat will adopt practical measures to end disagreement among security apparatuses, local press reported on Tuesday.

"These measures aim to stem the worsening security situation that has prevailed in the Palestinian lands, especially in the Gaza Strip," Palestinian Minister of Agriculture Ibrahim Abu Naja was quoted as saying.

He said that security apparatuses had been united, but the work to determine their respective duties and organize them to become a functional whole had not finished.

Palestinian security apparatuses are facing serious disagreement over duties amid the deteriorating security situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Enditem
