BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran has turned down a European proposal that it stop enriching uranium in return for nuclear technology.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hamid Reza Asefi says that the EU proposal is unbalanced and unlimited suspension of uranium enrichment is unacceptable for Iran.
France, Britain and German have said that if Iran rejected the proposal they would report the nuclear issue to the U.N. Security Council.
The EU "big three" have previously proposed providing Iran with nuclear fuel and aid in exchange for the suspension of uranium enriching activities.
Iran has reiterated that it has a right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
