BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- US Secretary of State Colin Powell has just ended his visit to Japan. This afternoon, Powell met with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in Tokyo. Earlier, he held talks on US military realignment in Asia with Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura, CCTV reported Sunday.

They are also believed to have discussed the DPRK nuclear issue and reform of the UN Security Council. The two countries reached a compromise agreement on Saturday to partially resume beef imports as early as next spring. Powell, who arrived in Tokyo on Saturday evening, will also visit Beijing and Seoul.
