Hamas threatens collaborators with Israel with death

   GAZA, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- The Islamic Resistance Movement(Hamas) Saturday called upon those Palestinians collaborating withIsrael to repent or face death.

   The call came after Ezel Dein al Qassam brigades, the armed wingof Hamas, executed Hassan Musallam who was accused of collaboratingwith Israel.

   Musheer al Masri, a Hamas spokesman, told reporters that theexecution of Musallam sent a massage to all collaborators, callingupon them to return to God or their destiny would be the same asMusallam's.

   "Hamas killed Musallam after many calls for the PalestinianNational Authority to do its role in following and punishing thosecollaborators," the spokesman said.

   Al Masri accused these collaborators of leaking information toIsrael, which helped Israel succeed in assassinating many Hamasleaders.

   "Our people must take an attitude to those collaborators andform committee to treating the cases of collaborators," al Masrisaid.

   In August, vigilantes from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movementkilled three suspected informers, one in a Gaza City jail and twoon their hospital beds.  Enditem
