www.chinaview.cn 2004-10-15 16:10:11

ˇˇ ˇˇBEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- An environmental probe report on the Russian Far East oil pipeline will be finished in the coming two months. The pipeline's route will then be fixed.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov made the remarks during an interview on the first meeting of Sino-Russian entrepreneurs' council here Friday.

Russia was considering offering China 10 million to 15 million tons of petroleum per year through railway in the next ten years,  he said.

The next step is fixing the pipeline's direction according to the location of oil fields, he said.

Russia-China trade has developed rapidly with an annual growth of more than 30 percent in recent years and bilateral trade volumeis expected to top 20 billion US dollars this year, he said. This amount was "unbelievable" several years ago. Enditem
