Palestinian killed in Israel's airstrike in northern Gaza

    GAZA, Oct. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- One Palestinian was killed and 10 others were wounded Sunday as Israeli Army's pilotless planes continued airstrike in northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian witnesses and medics said.

    They said a missile was fired at a group of people, some of them were militants, and severe damage was caused to several houses inthe neighborhood called al Sekka.

    Most of the Israeli air strikes were carried out against eastern Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip, where Palestinian militants were gathering to fire anti-tanks missiles and planting roadside bombs against Israeli armored vehicles.

    Mahmoud al Assali, Palestinian medics at Kamal Oqwan in Jabalya,confirmed that Mahed Aqout, 36, was killed, and 10 were injured, most of them were children.

    Another Palestinian died of his wounds sustained during a 12-day large-scale Israeli military operation in northern Gaza. Enditem
