Hamas: Sharon leads Israel to agony
www.chinaview.cn 2004-10-09 05:43:43

GAZA, Oct. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his policy are leading Israel to agony and distress.

Musheer el Masri, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza told the press that the Israeli society must conceive that Sharon is leading them to disaster, agony and misery.

He considered the bombing attacks in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Taba Thursday night, which killed more than 30 people, most of them were Israelis, a result to the nature of the ongoing Israeli military aggression and the war of elimination that the Israeli army is practicing against the Palestinian people.

One of the reasons for Taba bombings is the Arab disability, the European silence and the American one-sided supportive policy to Israel, especially the US veto in the UN Security Council, Masri stressed.

He added that "the US veto gave Israel the green light and the permission to continue the Zionist crimes against our people in northern Gaza Strip. This is a major reason for the bombing attack in Taba."

The Hamas spokesman, meanwhile, denied if the movement has any link to the bombing attack, saying that until this moment the borders of the battle with the Zionists are inside the occupied Palestinian territories.  Enditem
