HONG KONG, Oct. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- French President Jacques Chirac will arrive in Hong Kong on Oct. 12 on a one-day official visit, according to a press release issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) government Friday.

    Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa will meet with the French president and host a banquet in his honor at the GovernmentHouse.

    During his stay in Hong Kong, Chirac will attend the opening ceremony of the Presentation of the Picasso's stage curtain "Parade", which marks the opening of the French Culture Year in Hong Kong. Enditem
