BAGHDAD, Oct. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- A car bomb blew up in the western Iraqi town of Anah on Wednesday, killing several people, witnesses said.
The blast targeted a recruits queued at National Guards building in the town, some 260 km west of Baghdad.
There is no immediate word about the casualties, but the Arabic television al-Jazeera said 10 Iraqis killed and 25 wounded.
Anah, Fallujah and Ramadi are part of the rebel province of al-Anbar west of Iraq. The province, mainly Sunni Muslim, has longbeen a hotbed of insurgency against US-led occupation forces. Enditem
