Firecracker factory blast in Guangxi kills 24

    BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- At least 24 people have died in a blast at a firecracker factory in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

    The explosion occurred at a factory in a township in Qinzhou City Monday afternoon, China Radio International reported Tuesday.

    Twenty-eight people were also injured in the blast.

    An investigation is underway into the cause of the explosion.
