GAZA, Oct. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- The United Nations for Relief and Work Agency
(UNRWA) denies on Saturday Israeli allegations that its carsand ambulances were
used to carry weapons and ammunition for Palestinian militants in northern Gaza,
an UNRWA source said.
"The occupation authorities didn't present any evidence to provesuch claims
and allegations," said the source, adding "UNRWA is just offering humanitarian
aids to Palestinians."
The source said that such claims and allegations are made at thesame time
when the UNRWA is urging the Israeli government to offer UNRWA and all its
employees free movement to serve the refugees andreduce their suffering.
"Until now the Israeli government has not officially contacted UNRWA
concerning these allegations and claims that are totally rejected by UNRWA,
because this would hurt its credibility in doingits job," said the source.
Israeli army had earlier claimed that the UNRWA's cars and ambulances were
used to carry weapons and ammunition to Palestinianmilitants who are fighting
