GAZA, Sept. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- Saraya al Quds, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, claimed responsibility on Wednesday for shelling the Israeli settlement of Nesaneet in northern Gaza Strip.
The group said in a leaflet that its militants launched two homemade al Quds rockets and two mortars to the settlement and hit the target.
The leaflet said this shelling came as a respond to Israel's incursion into the northern Gaza Strip, vowing to continue fighting "the Israeli enemy till they leave our blessed lands.
"The group said the continuous Israeli incursions into Palestinian cities, towns and refugee camps would not prevent militants from launching rocket attacks.
"Even invading the northern Gaza Strip towns of Beit Lahya and Beit Hanoun couldn't prevent us from shelling the Israeli settlements," the leaflet said, adding that "we could shell the Israeli settlements from the areas that Israelis are invading at the same time."
Meanwhile, Israeli radio reported that two soldiers were lightly wounded in the shelling and were taken to Soroka hospital in Be'er Shiva for treatment.
Israeli troops raided northern Gaza towns of Beit Lahya and BeitHanoun early Wednesday, killing three Palestinians. Enditem
