BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- During the "golden week" of National Day holidays, the Palace Museum will open its treasure collection, including more than 200 pieces on display for the first time.

One of the major new attractions is the newly-established drum-shaped stone collection which includes ten grey, drum-shaped stones that were unearthed near Shanxi Province. Others include a variety of ancient clocks, reported China Radio International.

Part of the treasure collection has been renovated four times since the palace museum was opened in 1958.
