    ATHENS, Sept. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The flag of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) was officially handed by the mayor of Athens to the vice-mayor of Beijing at the closing ceremony of the Athens 2004 Games here Tuesday evening.

    Phil Craven, President of the International Paralympic Committee(IPC), attended the handover ceremony, where Dora Bakoyanni, Mayor of Athens, returned to IPC flag back to the IPC chief. Craven then handed the flag to Liu Jingmin, Vice-mayor of Beijing.

    Beijing will host the next Paralympic Games in 2008. Enditem
