KAMPALA, Sept. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The World Bank has approved financial
support of 327.6 million US dollars to Uganda for the 2004/2005 budget (July
2004-June 2005), local media reported on Tuesday.
The funds comprised 190 million dollars in grant and 137.6 million dollars in loans.
A 150 million grant was approved in support of Uganda's fourth poverty
reduction operation.
A 107.6 million dollars was directed to the road development program, of
which 40 million dollars will be a grant and 67.6 million dollars a credit from
the International Development Agency(IDA).
A credit of 70 million dollars was approved for the second private sector
