BAGHDAD, Sept. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Two US soldiers were killed in separate events on Monday, the US military said.

One died of wounds sustained in a road accident, which occurred when a US vehicle tried to avoid a truck but overturned. Two soldiers were wounded in the accident.

The other was killed when insurgents attacked a US military patrol as they were returning from the site of the traffic
accident.

Over 1,000 US soldiers have been killed in combat and non combat in Iraq since last year's invasion of the oil-rich Arab country. Enditem
