JAKARTA, Sept. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has strengthened position to become Indonesia's next president, as his votes won in the presidential runoff are far ahead rival incumbent President Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Based on more than 90 percent data (some 106.3 million votes) have been already calculated by the General Election Commission (KPU) Thursday afternoon, the pair of Yudhoyono and his running mate Yusuf Kalla obtains 61.04 percent of the total votes.
The trend of the votes obtaining by the two presidential candidates shows that it seems difficult for Megawati to surpass Yudhoyono.
Yudhoyono won in nearly all provinces in the country, except two provinces of Bali and East Nusa Tenggara with small distinction. Enditem
