JAKARTA, Sept. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Commander Endriartono Sutarto said on Thursday that Australia's plan to set up an anti-terror unit which could enter other countries' territory was not as a threat to Indonesia.

The general said that as long as the unit cooperates with the Indonesian military, it would not be considered as a threat.

"The most important thing, it asks permission to our country (before entering Indonesia)," he told reporters at the parliament building.

However, if the unit did not ask for permission, it was an intervention act, he said.

Sutarto said that the Indonesian government could reject theenter of the unit to the Indonesian territory.

Following the bloody explosion in front of the Australian Embassy to Indonesia on Sept. 9, Australian Prime Minister John Howard conveyed the plan of setting up the anti-terror unit if heis re-elected. Enditem
