ATHENS, Sept. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 670 doping tests have been carried out concerning the on-going 12th Paralympic Games here and the laboratory has returned no positive results so far, aspokeswoman of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) announced here on Monday.

Of the tests, 25 percent were out-of-competition tests and others were done during the Games, Miriam Wilkens, Media and Communication Director of the governing body for Paralympic sports, said at a daily briefing Monday morning.

Technicians from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) were responsible for carrying out the tests, Wilkens said.

Of the total figure, some were blood tests but she declined to give details, saying that "was confidential".

The urine and blood samples were analyzed in the laboratory in the Hellenic Sports Research Institute in the Greek capital.

The IPC is happy with the process of the doping tests and hope this trend could be kept for the rest of the games, Wilkens added.Enditem
