JAKARTA, Sept. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Monday that he was optimistic to win the presidential election run-off.

Susilo made the statement after casting his vote in a polling station near his residence in West Java province, some 30 kilometers south of Jakarta.

"I am strongly confident to win the second round of presidential election," he told a news conference at his residence.

"My assessment is that I will get some 60 percent of the total votes," the former military general added.

Susilo claimed that most of supporters of his former opponents in the first round of the election on July 5 would shift their support for him.

In addition, the result of the leading polls recently stated that he was the most favorite presidential candidates and that thesupport he got mounted after he had conducted a travel around the country.

"The support of people was becoming higher when I was traveling across the country, hopefully these would be materialized in this election," Susilo said.

Before giving the vote, Susilo called on all Indonesian people to bravely determine their choice based on their heart and asked all parties to avoid breaching the rules of the election.

"Let our people use their heart freely to determine their choice," he told reporters.

Regarding the cabinet that he will set up if he win the election, Susilo said that there is a possibility that he would pick up about three members from the current Megawati's cabinet.

Susilo also said that if he fails in this round, he would like to ask all his supporters to shift their support to rival who win this race.

Susilo got 33.6 percent of the total votes in the first round of the presidential election, ten percent higher than that of Megawati Soekarnoputri, the incumbent president and the rival presidential candidate. Enditem¡¡
