Hong Kong wins women's epee team title at Athens Paralympics

    ATHENS, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- The women's epee team of Hong Kong, China won the team open title by beating their Hungarian opponents at the 12th Paralympic Games here Sunday evening.

    The team of Chan Yui Chong, Fan Pui Shan and Yu Chui Yee won six out of the nine outings and outscored the Hungarians 45-33 in the final held in the Helleniko Fencing Hall here.

    The Hong Kong fencers were part of the stunning "Day of Hong Kong" victory here Saturday, when Yu won over Fan to take the women 's individual epee Category A title and Chan lost Thai Saysunee Jana in the women's individual epee Category B final to take the silver medal.

    Fencers from Hong Kong, China also won the men's individual foil categories A and B Saturday evening. Enditem
