BAGHDAD, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- A militant group claimed on Sunday that they have beheaded three Kurds in Iraq for collaborating with the Iraqi government and posted a videotape of the killing on a website.

The Army of Ansar al-Sunna said in a statement that the three killed, members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), were taken hostage in Taji, north of Baghdad.

The bodies of the hostages were left on a road near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, the statement said.

The authenticity of the statement could not be independently verified.

The same group was believed to be responsible for killing 12 Nepalese in Iraq last month. Enditem
