VIENNA, Sept. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- The United Nation's atomic watchdog agency -- the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) -- adopted a resolution Saturday which sets a Nov. 25 deadline for Iran to freeze its uranium enrichment program in a move to curb Iran's ability to make nuclear weapons.
The resolution, passed at a meeting of the IAEA's board of governors, does not call for the board to report Iran to the Untied Nations Security Council, as Washington had hoped, but says it will decide in November if "further steps are appropriate" regarding Iran's compliance with the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
