The Paralympic Flame will cover a distance of 410 kilometres and will travel through 54 Municipalities in Attica, carried by 680 Torchbearers, among whom will be famous Olympic and Paralympic winners, World Champions and other well-known personalities.

    Participations in the Paralympic Torch Relay will also include members of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), representatives of the National Sports Federation for the Disabled, of the Paralympic Games Sponsors, and of other bodies that work together with ATHENS 2004, as well as of the Municipalities in Attica through which the Paralympic Flame will travel.

    The organisers of the Paralympic Torch Relay sought persons who personify the Paralympic spirit and have contributed to the growth of the Greek or international Paralympic Movement.
