Israel to reevaluate 200 km of separation wall in West Bank

JERUSALEM, Sept. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Israel is reevaluating 200 kilometers of the separation wall that has been constructed innorthern West Bank, the State Prosecution told the High Court onSunday.

This is the first time that a reevaluation takes place of a stretch of the wall that has already been constructed.

The reevaluation is carried out in the wake of a High Court ruling two months ago in which 30 kilometers of the wall was rejected and the High Court justices instructed the government to hand in its position on the route of the wall within 60 days.

Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz reported Sunday that a delegation headed by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's advisor Dov Weisglass will try to reach an understanding this week with the US administration on the new route of the so called security fence.

The delegation will present the new route, approved last Wednesday by Sharon, which makes the fence move closer to the Green Line.  Enditem
