AMMAN, Sept. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier left here Saturday evening for Paris without any progress on releasing the two French journalists kidnapped in Iraq, Jordanian TV reported.

Before leaving Amman for home, Barnier discussed with his Jordanian counterpart Marwan Muasher latest developments concerning efforts to release the two French citizens.

During the meeting, Muasher stressed that Jordan will not spare its efforts to help France to release the hostages, reiterating Jordan's condemnation of kidnapping.

Barnier thanked Jordan's stand and support to release the French Journalists.

Barnier arrived here Wednesday night, after a 24-hour visit to Qatar, aimed at seeking support to release the kidnapped French journalists.  Enditem
