Senior CPC leader appreciates Sino-Malaysian relationship

    BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- China attaches great importance to developing the relationship with Malayia and is willing to further cooperation with the country in various fields, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said here Saturday. 

    Luo Gan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark during his meeting with the delegations of the United Malays National Organization, Malaysian Chinese Association, Malaysian Indian Congress, and the People's Movement Party of Malaysia.

    The delegation came to China to attend the third International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) which is going on in Beijing.

    Speaking highly of Malaysia's adherence to the one-China policy,Luo expressed his appreciation of Malaysia's support to China on Taiwan issue.

    "Frequent high-level exchanges and fruitful economic and trade cooperation have been witnessed in recent years," Luo said of the development of the party relations between the two countries.

    The guests said the two countries should enhance cooperation inthe fields of politics, economy and culture, noting the Malaysian government will adhere to the one-China policy as before. Enditem
