HONG KONG, Sept. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- The Beijing Organizing Committeefor the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) handed 20,000 copies of "Secondary School Olympic Reader" to Hong Kong students here on Friday.

    Beijing deputy mayor Liu Jingmin officiated the book presentation ceremony along with Timothy Fok, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.

    "The book is a wonderful means to convey Olympic knowledge as well as the promotion of Olympic Movement to every corner of China,including Hong Kong," said Liu, who is also executive vice-president of BOCOG.

    "In this way the whole nation could share the joy of the Beijing's hosting of the Olympic Games in 2008."

    The book edited by the BOCOG introduces comprehensively the Olympic history, Olympic spirits and the organization of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

    The 20,000 copies are special versions published in tradition Chinese for the HKSAR and are not for sale. Enditem
