GAZA, Sept. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- At least seven people were wounded during an Israeli demolition operation in Khan Younis refugee campin southern Gaza, Palestinian medics said Thursday.

Palestinian security sources said Israeli army stormed the neighborhood late Wednesday and forced residents of seven buildings to evacuate, claiming Palestinian militants used these buildings to launch Qassam rocket attacks at the nearby Israeli army posts.

At the beginning of the incursion, Israeli army opened intensive fire and fired missiles to horrify the residents.

Witnesses said hundreds of Palestinians were forced to leave their neighborhood without being allowed to take with them any properties.

Palestinian security sources said the Israeli army then blew up two six-story buildings after Apache helicopters fired four missiles on a group of Palestinians.

The Israeli forces claimed that these Palestinians carried a missile and were planning to launch missile attacks on Israeli targets.

The buildings were located at Al Namsawi neighborhood southwest of Khan Younis.  Enditem
