GAZA, Aug. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- A Palestinian boy was shot dead by Israeli troops stationed on the borderline between the southern Gaza town of Rafah and Egypt at predawn Tuesday, Palestinian medicsand security sources said.
They said that the Israeli forces, backed by tanks and bulldozers, raided the al Barahma neighborhood in the town and opened intensive gunfire at the Palestinian houses in the neighborhood.
A 14-year-old Palestinian boy was instantly killed in his house when he received three gunshots in the head and the chest, said thesources, adding that his body was taken to Rafah hospital in the town.
Witnesses said that the three gunshots hit the boy in front of his parents, brothers and sisters, adding that the boy kept bleeding for more than two hours where his family and neighbors were not able to rescue him.
The neighbors said that every time an ambulance was trying to reach the house, the soldiers were opening fire at it and preventing it from reaching the house to rescue the boy.
The Israeli army force pulled out from Rafah in the morning after the raid.
Meanwhile, Palestinian residents said that several Israeli army tanks and bulldozers also raided the refugee camp of al Mughazi in central Gaza Strip and carried out a razing campaign of lands and farms. Enditem |
