KABUL, Aug. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- A loud explosion rocked the capital of Afghanistan at 5:50 P.M. local time Sunday, and details were unclear.

The explosion was said to be taking place near the Interior Ministry, and Chinese workers who worked in the Jamhurat Hospital said the window glasses were shattered to pieces under the impact of the explosion.
