ATHENS, Aug. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Uzbekistan's Artur Taymazov overwhelmed Alireza Rezaei of Iran in the men's 120kg freestyle wrestling final to win the gold at the Athens Olympics on Saturday.

After building a two-point lead in the first three-minute period, Taymazov, Sydney Olympic silver medalist, successfully tackled down his Iranian opponent on mat with one and a half minutes to go, sealing the victory by fall.

"I do not feel anything right now. It is a pleasure to be an Olympic winner. I dedicate this victory to my mother," said Taymazov after the final.

Turkey's Aydin Polatci defeated Marid Mutalimov of Kazakhstan 3-1 in the bronze-medal bout. Enditem
