    ATHENS, Aug. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Canadian Adam van Koeverden won the gold medal of men's K1 500m at the Athens Olympic Games on Saturday.

    Koeverden was timed 1:37.919 for the title, followed by Nathan Baggaley of Australia in the second place at 1:38.467. Ian Wynne of Britain took the bronze medal at 1:38.547. Enditem
