Some 74 dead, 376 wounded in attacks in Kufa

   BAGHDAD, Aug. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Some 74 people were killed and 376 wounded in violence Thursday in Iraq's Kufa near the southern holy city of Najaf, a Health Ministry official said.

   Kufa has earlier witnessed a mortar attack on the main mosque in the city and a shooting attack from an Iraqi National Guard base on Shiite crowd who were marching to Najaf.  Enditem
