One dead, 3 missing as HK ship sinks in Taiwan

     HONG KONG, Aug. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- One person was reported dead and three missing as a Hong Kong fishing vessel capsized near the portof Keelung, the northern coast of Taiwan on Monday.

    The ship sank as typhoon Aere roared towards the island whipping up rough seas. Six fishermen were rescued by another boat,but three others are missing. Among the rescued fishermen, one wasreported dead after he was sent to hospital.

    The Maritime and Rescue Coordination Center in Hong Kong said they'd been informed of the incident by their Taiwan counterparts.The authorities in Taiwan have issued sea and land warnings as the typhoon edges closer. Enditem
