Pakistan says it has thwarted plot to carry out suicide attacks

     ISLAMABAD, Aug. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistani forces arrested at least five men linked to the al-Qaeda terror network who were plotting to launch suicide attacks on government leaders and the US Embassy, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Saturday.

    Ahmed said security forces had captured five or six suspects, including one Egyptian, in the past week across the country and had seized some weapons.

    Authorities were hunting for at least four other suspects, he said. Enditem
