US soldier killed in bomb attack in Baghdad

   BAGHDAD, Aug. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- One US soldier was killed and twoothers were wounded when their vehicle was attacked by rocket-propelled grenade in Baghdad early Saturday, the US military said.

   Insurgents attacked the vehicle around midnight Friday in the southern part of the capital, according to a US military statement.

   No further details were given yet.

   Some 950 US service members have died since the beginning of US-led military operations in Iraq in March 2003.  Enditem
