ATHENS, Aug. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- Following are the scoring and tiebreak rules observed in Olympic trampoline competition:
The evaluation is done in tenths of a point.
Difficulty: open score, depending on the level of difficulty included.
¡¡¡¡Execution: Each of the five judges evaluates the performances with marks from 0.0 to 10.0 points. The highest and lowest execution marks are deleted and the remaining three marks are added together to give the competitor's execution total for the particular round.
The score for the first routine in qualifying is calculated on the basis of execution alone.
The final score for the qualifying's second routine with 10 skills without limitation, and the routine executed in the final is calculated by adding the two partial scores.
Tiebreak rules and procedures:
In case there is a tie after the qualification round or the final, the competitor with the highest second voluntary score receives higher ranking.
If they are still tied, the higher execution score for the second voluntary routine is the deciding factor.
If the tie is still not broken, then the sum of all execution scores is used.
Thereafter, the lowest execution score is dropped and the remaining scores are added, and this continues until the tie is broken.
In case there is a tie after the final the competitor with the highest execution score for the final routine receives higher ranking. Enditem |
