KATHMANDU, Aug. 20 (Xinhuanet)-- Anti-government rebels in Nepal detonated two powerful bombs here on Friday as they have blockadedthe capital city for three days, according to witnesses.
The rebels first shot and wounded a policeman guarding the LandRevenue Office in the city center and then planted the bomb under the stairs.
Witnesses said people rushed out of the building after the shooting and minutes later the bomb exploded.
The explosion occurred during the morning rush hour when many people were lined up to pay land taxes, transfer land ownership and settle disputes. Enditem
