"I love apples."

    Born in Yantai, Shandong Province, Liu Chunhong shows the masculinity typical of the natives of the province. Liu's parents run an apple orchard, which was a real paradise for Chunhong in her childhood.

    "I grew up a tomboy, playing around and having fun every day with my elder brother and his fellows. I was the only girl in our gang. And I was never like a girl."

    Yantai is nationwide famous for apples. Every time back from her hometown Liu brought a lot of apples to share with her roommates. Her smile is sweet and innocent, somewhat like a ripening apple. In her own words, "I have a round, chubby face just like an apple."

    Chunhong makes the most out of her family's orchard. "I grew upan apple lover. I'm still that way today. Apple is my favorite snack and I eat apples one after another as I watch TV."
