Hamas sceptical of Gaza agreement
www.chinaview.cn 2004-08-10 16:51:15

BEIJING, Aug. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Hamas says talks have failed to convince Hamas of the Egyptian initiative regarding the security set-up following the Israeli pullout from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas spokesman Sa'eed Siam says both sides are still exchanging views on Egypt's suggestions and Hamas won't consider joining in Palestinian national authorities. CRIENGLISH.com reported Tuesday.

Previous reports said Egypt and Hamas had reached an agreement, supporting Palestinian national unity and guaranteeing the security in Gaza Strip in the period after the Israeli withdrawal.
