กก BEIRUT, Aug. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Four Lebanese drivers went missing on Friday in Iraq and may probably be kidnapped by militants, concerned sources here said.
The drivers went missing with their goods-loaded trucks in Iraq, a Lebanese security source disclosed, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The source said "the four trucks went missing on Friday on the Ramadi-Baghdad road in the west Iraqi province of Al Anbar."
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry is making contacts with the concerned Iraqi authorities via Hassan Higqzi, Lebanon's Charge D'Affairs in Baghdad, added the source.
However, a source in Lebanon's Foreign Ministry said that the four Lebanese truck drivers have been taken hostage in Iraq. The source said the four were captured on Thursday on a roadoutside the capital Baghdad.
Ten Lebanese nationals were taken hostages by an unidentified armed men in Iraq recently, most of them were released for ransom except one whose fate remained unclear.
Iraqi police managed to make a Iraqi armed group to release another Lebanese hostage last Saturday .
Earlier, Iraqi kidnappers calling themselves "Brigades of Islamic Wrath" killed a Lebanese identified as Hussein Alian.
According to Lebanese Foreign Ministry figures, about 350 people with dual Lebanese and Iraqi nationality were living in Iraq. Enditem
