BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- The death toll in supermarket fire in Asuncion, capital of Paraguay, rose to 454 on Thursday, according to reports reaching here from Asuncion.

    More than 500 others were injured, and the death roll could rise further as there were still some 100 people missing, said thereports.

    The fire broke out on Sunday when the supermarket was crowded with midday shoppers. Reports said nearly 1,000 people had been inside the shopping center, which is part of the complex that alsohouses offices and an underground parking lot. Enditem
