BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
has settled a lawsuit with a toy making company challenging its right to sell a
bobble-head doll using Schwarzenegger's image.
The Hollywood actor-turned-politician had filed against Ohio Discount
Merchandise Inc in April accusing it of unauthorized used of his image for
private profit, reported Wednesday's CRI online.
The company was asked to stop producing the $19.95 Schwarzenegger doll
attired in a grey business suit and a bandolier and carrying an assault rifle.
Under the settlement, the toy company agreed to withdraw its product from
the market but claimed it has the right to produce a new doll, minus the
armament, in the future.
But part of sales of both dolls will be donated to Schwarzenegger's
charity, an after-school sports program called Arnold's All Stars.
