FBI warns of possible terror attacks
www.chinaview.cn 2004-07-30 10:54:50

BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhuanet) -- The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has warned authorities in California, New Mexico and some other western US states of possible terrorist attacks.

The FBI decided on Thursday to pass on the vague threat information it received to law enforcement authorities in those states, though no specific information on targets was available, CRIENGLISH.com reported Friday.

Senior US officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, warned earlier this month that there is an increased risk of terrorist attacks in the United States this summer aimed to disrupt the presidential elections in November. Enditem
