ANKARA, July 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime
Minister Abdullah Gul said Tuesday that the country will provide support to the
Palestinians.
Gul said in a statement that within the framework of the plan, the Turkish government will send foodstuffs, medicine and medical equipment worth 1 million US dollars and donate
three ambulances to the Palestinian government and people.
"The humanitarian aid will be sent to Palestine via Syria and Jordan," said
Gul.
He noted that nearly 100 tons of food are planned to be distributed to
Palestinian families by the Turkish aid organization Kizilay (Red Crescent) in
packages.
The first convoy will depart from Turkey this week, Gul added. Enditem
