Arafat agrees to relax grip on security powers

    GAZA, July 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat agreed on Tuesday to give security powers to Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei in a bid to end a two-week internal turmoil, lawmakers said.

    Arafat has agreed to give Qurei full grip on Palestinian security forces, the lawmakers said after a meeting with Arafat. Enditem
